I'm Sami, and I love training dogs!! For the last 25 years, I have spent every extra minute learning as much as possible about new training methodologies, proofing practices, and maintenance tools for training and maintaining the skills that I can teach your best friend. Putting them into practice, I have developed a foolproof and stress free training program that is guaranteed to improve your and your dogs' quality of life. By using the most up-to-date techniques I am able to decrease training time, increase the amount of information learned, and produce happy, healthy, well trained dogs for everyone I work with. My training allows you to communicate effectively with your best friend. Obedience skills allow you to speak the same language and reduce the amount of frustration on both ends of the leash. My goal for every dog trained is to reduce stress that contributes to frustration. This lets me give you a new, stronger relationship of trust and reliability. The biggest compliment I could ever receive is the trust you put in me to teach your dog the skills needed for you to both be happy and healthy.

My family is involved in most of the MAKING of your best friend. Their hobbies with our pups include lure coursing, competition obedience, conformation, nose work, and dock diving. They have lots of experience working with our dogs, and are always excited to help with yours! Being housed for training in my home, instead of kennel-type environment, gives your dog the benefit of an immersive training experience. Your dog learns and practices all of his new skills in a real-life in-home scenario, that will help generalize these behaviors for use when he comes back home. This makes his transition smooth without any extra stress. It also keeps him from added stress during the time he is with me. My goal is to help him learn as quickly and smoothly as possible, and get him back home to you, with fancy new skills to overcome any problems present or future, with ease. Then I am here whenever you need me!
Competing with my dogs is one of my favorite things to do. My background in police and protection dog training allows me to understand why stressed or aggressive dogs react the ways they do, and how to manage their future behavior to eliminate those issues. I do this through clear communication and trust. I compete at the World Championship level with my Dutch Shepherd, Cada, (BISS CH Hoeksteen Idyllic Destroyer IGP3 IPO-FH FH2 AD LCX URO3, USJCH ) and am currently training two of her daughters, Aite and Burn, to fill the impressive shoes she will leave behind. Our sport is called Schutzhund, or IGP, if you are interested in investigating! It involves the three phases of Tracking, Obedience, and Protection, and is very exciting to spectate!!
